Wires Galore!

Along with the work that is happening outside lots of wires for electrical are getting strung through the walls. This photo was taken upstairs in the 2nd bedroom. It will be great when we can have some lights to see the space after dark, besides small moveable construction lights.

Cichy's started today!!!

Today is a big day for 747! Today is the day they started boring the new main water line to our house. As you can see from the photos we have these heaters on the ground to heat the ground and now in our front yard we have a huge hole. This is the beginning of finishing the project.

Lighter and Brighter

We are getting closer and closer to our windows arriving, so Bryce and Neil thought while the old windows were still in they would Kilz (prime) the walls of the sunroom. This is the only room in the house that we left the top 3/4 of the sheet rock up. If you remember from the first photos the room was a dark red with castle like curtains and shag olive green carpet. As you can see from the photos the carpet is long gone and now so are the red walls. It's amazing what a little Kilz will do to brighten up a space.

Mostly Plumbing & HVAC

Well it has been mostly plumbing and HVAC this week. Happy to say that the majority is done and we just need to have the basement done. We are thankful to Warren for recommending a friend for the plumbing. Seems like things are finally moving along! Putt, Putt, Putt.

Just a few shots of the house!

Plumbing & HVAC Check!!

I know these photos don't seem all the glamorous, however when you think of heat and water those both seem like important things! We have started on plumbing and HVAC as you can see and in the last week have really started to fill up the framed walls.

What is holding up the show?

Well it's been almost 2 weeks since I have posted anything. I am sure your wondering what is holding up the show? Well as many of you know it has been our main water line. Quite a ways back when the weather started to get cold we realized that we had an issue with our main water line coming into our home. For the past 2 1/2 months we have been trying to find a company that would bore us a new main water line. This part has definitely been one of the most frustrating parts of putting our home back together. After months and months of having people come out to bid the job we finally got a taker. This is a good thing as our basement has been in shambles waiting to have new concrete laid after old concrete had been jack hammered out. We are excited to see the spray paint on the sidewalk and all the main utilities being marked. Starting to feel like we are about 1/2 way there.
